Cradle FC 48 hours in Bristol:

'super fast recording session yields new E.P

'A Punky Reggae Tribute to Ari Up'

'Sunday Lunch and more!!!

The story goes like this... ..

Friday 29th July

Johan Visschers vocalist, guitarist and song-writer of Cradle FC , fly's in from Rotterdam to Bristol UK, jumps straight off the plane at 7:30pm and is chauffeur driven to ICG studios,(big up the BS1 crew)

he literally plugged in all his pedals, guitar and drum machine and tracked down four songs, also over dubbing bass and additional vocals..

the session finished around midnight.... (goed bezig!!)

Saturday 30th July

then its up bright and blurry for the busy Dutchman, provided with a mandatory full English (breakfast) which was first order of the day for Johan who was also working with us on Inner City Grit's A Punky Reggae Tribute To Ari Up and Slits in-store event @Rise.

Then before you know it our guest's from the Slits Arrive at ICG HG and soon enough an improv drone guitar jam breaks out between Mr CFC and Viv Albertine...(great start to the day!)

then its off to Rise (record store ) for the Slits DJ set and signing in-store..

Johan serving us well on the merchandise stand, where we sold Slits shirts and raffle tickets to raise money for the breast cancer research foundation, (some beers are sunk)

then its straight into a taxi and off to the venue...for soundcheck

a fantastic night ensured, Johan was a true rock to all that night, such a hard worker, his positive attitude and focus, also he also had a lot of fun greeting the performer's and special guest!!

top night, was really sweet for all of Ari's fans, friends, family, thank you to all who were involved for your love and support.

Sunday 31st July

after retiring to bed at around 4am, and rising early to return the hired equipment, it was off for a traditional Sunday lunch with everyone involved in the show, from the previous day,....before you know it was time for Johan to get all mopper de mopper and say good bye and go to the airport to return to the lowlands....

wow what a weekend......
